What to expect?

You will arrive at the airport to a different world and be invited to learn and witness the true secrets of where the sound of the Ivory Coast djembe comes from. You will visit with the Mien-Moh company and take classes with master dancers and drummers. Emmanuel helped build Mien-Moh so you will meet some of his close personal friends and professional colleagues . You will visit some of the capitol city Abidjan’s most beautiful sites. You will visit a museum, a zoo, a mall, a local flea market and more. Then you will travel to the village of Bangofla and meet the Djo Bi family and other families that have lineage with the Zaouli mask. You will see an authentic professional Zaouli mask dance. There is so much more that awaits you in Africa!

You will have teachers teaching you the drum and dance daily. You will have the opportunity to buy a drum from world famous drum makers of Ivory Coast.

The package will include food, shelter, and transportation while in Ivory Coast, Africa.

 Ivory Coast is a French colony with the primary language being French. There will be interpreters along with you.

What do you need ?

You need: Visa, Yellow Fever shot, Passport, be up to date with Covid regulations, screen bedding, malaria meds (Doxycycline 100 mg daily for 14 days), backpack, good shoes, sun screen, personal toilet paper, baby wipes, hand sanitor, towel, personal soap, and your personal grooming needs. We ask if you can bring some donations for the people of Bangofla and the Djo Bi family. Often requested are old cell phones, laptops, clothes, and shoes. Africa awaits you to learn the spirit of the drum and dance. Wake Up Spirit!!!

A non-refundable $250.00 deposit is necessary. This secures your spot to go, and we send the money right away to Africa to prepare for the journey.

The total cost is $1750.00 which includes the $250.00 deposit.

  So it is $1500.00 + $250.00 = $1750.00

This does not include the ticket there and back. We will discuss the details with everyone going personally. This will be a very amazing journey. It will include transportation, food, lodging, teachers for dance and drum, tourist sites, hotel, and more.
